Free Chicago History Museum Admission for City’s 182nd Birthday!

On March 4, 1837, Chicago was incorporated as a city. To celebrate this 182nd anniversary, The Chicago History Museum admission will be FREE to Illinois residents on March 4th, 2019! Special commemorative certificates will be available for people who share a birthday with the city.


Chicago History Museum’s mission is to share Chicago’s stories and help Chicagoans make personal connections to history by serving as a hub of scholarship, learning, inspiration and civic engagement. Founded in 1857, CHM is Chicago’s oldest cultural institution, sharing the stories of the city and its people through exhibitions, programs, publications, events and digital media.
